Screaming (and burning) faces 1

  1. This was the very first image I drew after moving in Cambridge, August 2006. I heard later that drawing very expressive faces is quite a typical thing to do. I think it is because drawing a human face seems to be an easy way of picturing various emotions. Humans practised face recognition for millennia. This is, I guess, why drawing a face is so appealing: even if you get it very wrong, others will still likely to get your message.

This is obviously one image, photograph of which was taken in three different light settings.
